YOUTH FESTIVAL 2024 REPORT
Gujarat University (GU) organizes a Youth Festival (at Zonal & Interzonal levels) every year to give a sound platform to budding talents of young students at the University. As per the trend, the YOUTH WELFARE DEPARTMENT OF GU organized the Youth Festival for the academic year 2024-2025 in September. The department aims to provide students with a cultural environment to shape their all-round personality and develop their physical, mental, social, aesthetical and spiritual dimensions. To cultivate basic human qualities like honesty, integrity, industriousness and tolerance, so that they may prove to be our cultural custodians and make wonderful citizens of our great nation.
Youth Festival 2024, DESH HUNNAR FEST was organized on 23rd and 24th September, 2024 by Smt. Sarlaben Chaturbhai Patel Institute of Commerce, Dehgam, Gandhinagar with an aim to propagate the concept of national integration, the spirit of communal harmony, brotherhood, courage, and adventure amongst the Youth by exhibiting their cultural prowess on a common platform. 1200 Student-artists from 47 Colleges of our zone participated at Youth events.
In this festival, 30 competitive events were organized under the category of Music, Dance, Literary, Theatre and Fine Arts as per the decided schedule. Each event consisted with the pre-framed rules and regulations of AIU. Our Seventh Day Adventist Arts and Science College participated in 16 events namely Folk dance, Classical Dance, Debate, Elocution, Western Instrumental Solo, Western Group Song, Western Vocal Solo, Skit, Cartooning, Collage, Clay Modelling, Installation, Mehandi, On the Spot Painting, Poster Making and Spot Photography. Among these Competitions, we feel immense pleasure to announce that we won 9 events including Western Instrumental Solo, Western Group Song, Western Vocal Solo, Classical Dance Cartooning, Collage, Clay Modelling, Folk Dance, and Debate.
